Description

You'll drive adoption of safe, frontier AI technology across Japan's government and telecommunications organizations, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. You'll work with senior leaders to help modernize the telecommunications industry using Anthropic's AI solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience in Japan with significant exposure to telecommunications sector accounts
  • Track record of managing complex, long-cycle sales processes and securing strategic deals with government entities
  • Ability to navigate telecommunications stakeholder ecosystems and build consensus across multiple departments
  • Proven experience exceeding revenue targets and managing pipeline across different government fiscal timelines
  • Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English

Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new major telecommunications accounts and expanding existing relationships across Japan's government entities
  • Build and execute territory plans, identifying high-value opportunities across national government ministries and prefectural/municipal governments
  • Lead consultative sales processes with senior government officials and technical stakeholders, positioning AI for digital government transformation
  • Orchestrate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Applied AI, Partnerships) to deliver solutions meeting security, compliance, and procurement requirements
