💼 About This Role

You'll serve as the primary technical resource for tailings and water retaining structures at a steelmaking coal mine in British Columbia. You'll implement surveillance programs, develop operational manuals, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe tailings management. This role offers a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off in the scenic Elk Valley.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Implement surveillance, inspection, monitoring, and maintenance plans for tailings structures.
• Develop and maintain short-range plans for tailings and water management.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of plans and mass balance analyses.
• Report performance and coordinate with site leadership and external entities.

📋 Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, Environmental or Geological Engineering.
• Minimum four years operational, construction, or design experience in mining.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
