💼 About This Role

You'll design, code, and operate high performance data processing systems on the JVM platform (Scala) for our phone call pipeline. You'll own systems end-to-end, including deployment and on-call rotations. This role combines stream processing with Kafka and cloud infrastructure on AWS.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate high-performance JVM-based data processing systems
• Develop and maintain customer-facing web applications
• Participate in on-call rotations for owned systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture decisions

📋 Requirements

• 2-3+ years of backend development experience
• Experience with Scala or functional programming on the JVM
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
• Experience with stream processing (e.g., Kafka) or big data tools

✨ Nice to Have

• BSc or MSc in a relevant field
• Experience with Typelevel stack
• Knowledge of DynamoDB, Redshift, or Spark
