Description

You will lead and mentor a team of Settlement Analysts, overseeing daily settlement operations, fail control, reconciliations, and seg deficit management. You'll collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• 6+ years in brokerage operations and management with expertise in trade clearance and settlements for a self-clearing broker-dealer
• Leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
• Series 7, 24, and 53 licenses
• Proficiency with DTC, NSCC, Obligation Warehouse, SMART Track, and other DTCC applications
• Expertise in fixed-income processing and settlement
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Settlement Analysts
• Manage daily settlement operations including fail control, buy-ins, and reconciliations
• Oversee seg deficit management and reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve settlement issues
• Ensure accurate processing of entries, adjustments, and corrections
• Identify, investigate, and resolve trade, cash, and position reconciliation issues
• Develop and maintain department procedures and controls
• Partner with Product and Engineering for process improvement and automation
• Monitor and report fail exposures to senior management
• Support systems integration for data accuracy
• Serve as point of contact for fixed-income escalations
• Ensure compliance with TRACE and MSRB reporting requirements
