💼 About This Role

You'll build simulation and testing infrastructure for Zipline's autonomous drone delivery system. Your tools will enable autonomy engineers to validate planning, perception, and control software at scale. This role owns foundational validation platforms, not QA.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build validation infrastructure for autonomous features across planning, perception, and control.
• Design and develop simulation tools and scenario generation for high-fidelity testing.
• Create scalable automated solutions for running and analyzing thousands of validation tasks.
• Collaborate with autonomy, systems, data, and flight test teams to codify metrics and safety thresholds.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years building systems for testing, simulation, or safety validation in autonomy, aerospace, or robotics.
• Strong software engineering foundation with fluency in C++, Rust, C, or C#.
• Experience with custom simulation tools, game engines, or scenario generation frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containers, and distributed execution pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).

• Track record of building tools or platforms used by other engineers.
• Experience in real-time safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of autonomy or robotics algorithms.
