Description

You will design, build, and activate advanced manufacturing facilities at SpaceX, serving as the subject matter expert on HVAC and fluid systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for space technology, contributing to the mission of enabling life on Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years professional experience with fluids components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors.
• Willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

• Own and be the subject matter expert on fluid/HVAC components across campus: compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, dust collection systems.
• Perform CAD modeling and design of fluid systems.
• Conduct fluid analyses for pressure balance, component design allowable, and consumables determination.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure components meet production, avionics, GNC, and mission operations requirements.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable, and support transition to production.
