💼 About This Role

You'll own the customer experience blueprint for Aurora's autonomous freight tools, designing high-stakes operational software that makes self-driving trucking intuitive and reliable. Your work will directly impact safety and efficiency in a mission-critical transportation ecosystem. This player/coach role blends IC leadership with managing one designer, reporting to the Head of Design.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define how interactions with the Aurora Driver are consistent and unified across the ecosystem
• Design customer-facing digital tools across web, mobile, and partner integrations
• Conduct just enough research to drive actionable product decisions
• Manage and develop one Product Designer while contributing to the broader design practice

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience leading complex projects
• Formal management experience with other designers
• Portfolio showing end-to-end work on complex enterprise or operational systems with business impact
• Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and UX research
