💼 About This Role

You'll lead the development of core electronic systems for Zipline's long-range drone platform, including motor controllers and power distribution. Your work will directly impact millions of deliveries globally, scaling from thousands to millions. You'll own subsystems end-to-end, from architecture through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own electrical design from requirements through validation and production.
• Lead trade studies and make impactful design decisions daily.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with reliability, mechanical, and embedded teams.
• Troubleshoot field issues and roll learnings into future designs.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience designing complex PCBAs including schematic capture and layout.
• Experience with mixed signal design and high-speed design.
• Experience with BLDC motor drives or battery management systems.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with lithium ion battery pack design.
• Knowledge of embedded communications busses (SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Familiarity with higher speed communications (Ethernet, LVDS).
