Description

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of aircraft design engineers on a platform with design and test heritage, transitioning into a mature production and operationally employed system. You will leverage technical expertise and leadership skills to set objectives, challenge the team, and drive execution, balancing design rigor against program objectives.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of unmanned aircraft at and above Group 3 class
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Software engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in a senior role leading air vehicle programs from concept through test and delivery
• Proven ability to deliver functional capabilities while aligning technical objectives with programmatic outcomes
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and programmatic execution of air vehicle and mission systems design, fabrication, test, productization
• Set up trades to explore early conceptual designs and find solutions for warfighter capability gaps
• Manage detailed design of system and subsystems including requirements, trades, optimization, and risk management
• Support compliance to airworthiness and coordinate fabrication of prototype and low-rate production articles
• Work with senior leadership to ensure adequate resource plans
