Description

You will design and build core security primitives and services for MongoDB Atlas multi-cloud infrastructure, working with SRE and engineering teams to ensure high security standards. You'll develop secure-by-default infrastructure, APIs, and automation to manage security posture at scale, and integrate security into CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering with security work
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Golang, Rust, Python, or C/C++) and experience with Terraform
• Deep understanding of Linux and networking concepts
• Experience building security platforms such as runtime monitoring, CSPM, or vulnerability management
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security ecosystem (RBAC, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, eBPF, Falco, Tetragon)

Responsibilities

• Design and build core security primitives and services for compute, networking, and identity across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Build secure-by-default infrastructure using Linux security mechanisms, Kubernetes, and eBPF
• Develop APIs, automation, and tooling for security posture management (CSPM, vulnerability management, workload identity)
• Integrate security into CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows (Terraform)
• Collaborate with SRE, platform, and product engineering teams to define secure architectures
