Description

You'll dive into scaling problems, add new capabilities to the platform, and think about how the entire team interacts with infrastructure. You'll own projects end-to-end and have an impact on core parts of the developer and user experience, working on tasks like optimizing compilers, creating security guardrails, and implementing infrastructure for event-driven architectures.

Requirements

• Experience building infrastructure at a slightly later stage than Ashby is at
• Ability to deal with millions of data points
• Experience automating everything from provisioning to monitoring and release process
• Comfort with infrastructure updates, security enforcements, database optimization, Kubernetes debugging
• Ability to code and review code
• Comfort with SQL
• Ability to deliver projects independently without constant prodding
• Preference for written communication over live meetings

Responsibilities

• Optimize homegrown ultra-dynamic recruiting DSL-to-SQL compiler and create tools to help developers do so
• Create automated guardrails for the security and privacy of customer data
• Help developers ship features fast through canary deploys, gradual rollouts and feature flags
• Work with business and engineering team to define SLOs and implement corresponding SLIs
• Ensure all communication with external services supports retries and circuit-breakers
• Implement infrastructure to support event-driven architecture and data warehouse
