💼 About This Role
You'll serve as a strategic legal partner to C-level leadership, advising on power procurement and energy transactions for a rapidly scaling hyperscale cloud provider. You'll lead complex commercial agreements enabling global data center expansion and mitigate legal and regulatory risks in a fast-moving environment.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Advise C-level on power strategy and energy transactions for global data centers.
- Lead and negotiate PPAs, build-to-transfer, and utility contracts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on infrastructure and capacity initiatives.
- Manage outside counsel and budgets for energy and regulatory matters.
📋 Requirements
- JD from accredited law school and active bar admission.
- 15+ years legal experience with power procurement and commercial energy transactions.
- Expertise in power purchase agreements and large-scale energy deals.
- Knowledge of FERC, PUC, and state/federal power sector regulations.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience with international energy markets (EMEA, APAC, LatAm).
- Experience with advanced nuclear and geothermal technologies.
- Background in renewable energy and electric infrastructure development.
