💼 About This Role

You'll design and implement scalable backend services and APIs for Okta's Federated Authentication Platform, building the authentication pipeline for the Okta Identity Engine. Your work will directly impact billions of monthly authentications with 99.99% availability. This role offers the chance to solve complex identity challenges at massive scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot scalable backend services and APIs
• Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern web frameworks
• Analyze requirements with Product Management to bridge user needs and technical implementation
• Scope and plan engineering efforts across the full stack

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years building and deploying mission-critical software across frontend and backend
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Backend Language (Java, C#, Python, or Go)
• Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and a frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and interaction

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with server-side technologies like caching, async processing, and multi-threading
• Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, or SSO
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
