💼 About This Role

You'll lead process design for Direct Air Capture facilities, moving from conceptual design to pilot-scale operations. Your work will directly influence technology selection and energy optimization. This senior individual-contributor role carries significant technical influence.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead conceptual and detailed process design including heat and material balances.
• Develop and refine P&IDs with robust control logic and safety standards.
• Perform advanced process simulations (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to optimize energy consumption.
• Drive technology selection for contactors, regeneration units, and moisture/heat management.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years in engineering with significant process design in energy, chemicals, or gas processing.
• Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) with a Canadian engineering association.
• Expert-level experience with Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or PRO/II.

✨ Nice to Have

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Experience with carbon capture or Direct Air Capture technologies.
• Knowledge of HAZOP/LOPA and safety review processes.
