๐ผ About This Role
You'll own the design, development, and delivery of flight-critical spacecraft structural systems for our satellite buses. Your work will enable reliable, production-ready systems at scale, from concept through on-orbit operation. This role combines deep technical ownership with cross-functional leadership in a fast-growing space startup.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end design of spacecraft structural systems from concept through flight.
- Drive trade studies and make-vs.-buy decisions while partnering cross-functionally.
- Perform FEA and first-principles analysis to validate structural components.
- Develop and execute structural test plans (vibration, shock, thermal vacuum).
- Lead a small team through design reviews and set technical direction.
๐ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering structural or mechanical systems.
- 1+ years leading technical teams and/or projects.
- Proficiency with CAD (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus).
- Experience developing and executing structural test campaigns.

- Familiarity with environmental testing (vibe, shock, thermal vacuum).
- Hands-on experience with machining, assembly, or hardware bring-up.
