Description

You will perform independent calibrations of diverse electronic and RF/microwave instruments in both the lab and at client sites, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and quality standards. You'll also mentor junior technicians and help with scheduling.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Radio Frequency experience
• Completed formal calibration training in electronic and Physical/Dimensional disciplines or equivalent experience, OR Military PMEL Training and Certification, OR Associate's degree in engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields
• 4+ years of experience calibrating electronic/electrical or physical/dimensional instruments
• Experience performing calibrations in a commercial, ISO17025-accredited laboratory
• Technical understanding and advanced troubleshooting skills
• Experience with electrical, physical, and/or mechanical calibration
• Experience processing calibration documentation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations in accordance with Z540.1 and ISO 17025:2017 procedures
• Complete accurate and timely calibrations in the lab and on customer sites
• Conduct performance acceptance evaluation of new equipment
• Perform calibration, performance checks, and repair/maintenance on instruments
• Operate, maintain, and repair laboratory calibration standards
• Handle equipment per manufacturer recommendations
• Ensure all Measuring Testing Equipment are calibrated before use
• Review work processes, calibration, and test results for accuracy
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and answer questions
• Ensure compliance with test procedures, regulations, and quality standards
• Prepare and maintain accurate calibration records
• Lead, instruct, and train junior technicians
• Assign work and review work of lower-level technicians
• Assist with planning/scheduling calibrations
• Oversee work performed by team members
