Description
You will perform independent calibrations of diverse electronic and RF/microwave instruments in both the lab and at client sites, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and quality standards. You'll also mentor junior technicians and help with scheduling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Radio Frequency experience
- Completed formal calibration training in electronic and Physical/Dimensional disciplines or equivalent experience, OR Military PMEL Training and Certification, OR Associate's degree in engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields
- 4+ years of experience calibrating electronic/electrical or physical/dimensional instruments
- Experience performing calibrations in a commercial, ISO17025-accredited laboratory
- Technical understanding and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Experience with electrical, physical, and/or mechanical calibration
- Experience processing calibration documentation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations in accordance with Z540.1 and ISO 17025:2017 procedures
- Complete accurate and timely calibrations in the lab and on customer sites
- Conduct performance acceptance evaluation of new equipment
- Perform calibration, performance checks, and repair/maintenance on instruments
- Operate, maintain, and repair laboratory calibration standards
- Handle equipment per manufacturer recommendations
- Ensure all Measuring Testing Equipment are calibrated before use
- Review work processes, calibration, and test results for accuracy
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and answer questions
- Ensure compliance with test procedures, regulations, and quality standards
- Prepare and maintain accurate calibration records
- Lead, instruct, and train junior technicians
- Assign work and review work of lower-level technicians
- Assist with planning/scheduling calibrations
- Oversee work performed by team members
