💼 About This Role

You'll facilitate donation discussions and the authorization process with donor families in a hospital setting. Your work ensures families receive compassionate support while meeting legal requirements for organ and tissue donation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Initiate donation discussion and obtain legal authorization from families.
• Respond on-site to hospital referrals within designated timeframes.
• Communicate with hospital staff and physicians to coordinate donation process.
• Conduct Uniform Donor Risk Assessment Interviews with family historians.

📋 Requirements

• Degree in biologic sciences, social sciences, counseling, or allied health field, or 1 year OPO experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under stressful conditions.
• Strong conflict management and crisis intervention skills.
• Knowledge of medical and legal principles of organ donation authorization.

✨ Nice to Have

• At least 2 years of experience in family counseling, bereavement, or crisis intervention.
• Multi-lingual skills in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Vietnamese.
