Description

As a MongoDB Technical Services Engineer, you will use your problem-solving and technical expertise to advise customers and solve complex MongoDB issues. You'll work with the entire MongoDB ecosystem, including database server, drivers, cloud, and infrastructure services like Atlas and Cloud Manager. You'll advocate for customers, contribute to internal projects, and mentor new team members.

Requirements

• Systems engineering experience including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
• Experience managing large scale databases (RDBMS or NoSQL)
• Storage engineering experience including NAS, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, and caching
• Ability to read and write code; basic coding/scripting ability in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go)

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex customer issues including architecture, performance, recovery, security questions
• Be an expert resource on best practices for running MongoDB at scale
• Advocate for customers and partners, collaborating with product management and development teams
• Contribute to internal projects including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics
• Mentor and ramp new team members; build knowledge of new product lines within MongoDB ecosystem
