Description

You will own the design and technical direction of Braze's Beacon design system, working at the intersection of design and code. You'll write production code, mentor designers, and drive adoption across product teams to raise the bar for accessibility and implementation quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years in design systems, design engineering, or technical product design
• Strong system-level design craft judgment
• Fluent in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and semantic HTML
• Fluent in Figma including variables, tokens, and token-to-code workflows
• Track record of driving adoption across product teams through influence

Responsibilities

• Own design and technical direction of Beacon in partnership with Engineering
• Write production code for component architecture, tokens, and design-to-code pipeline
• Partner with frontend engineers on CSS architecture, semantic HTML, and WCAG compliance
• Mentor designers in accessibility, responsive systems, and implementation-aware design thinking
• Build automation and tooling to improve system compliance and programmatic access
