Description

You will independently drive delivery of vehicle perception and planning capability for autonomous maritime systems, designing and implementing trusted safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems. You will contribute to scalable sub-systems like sensor processing, perception, tracking, and motion planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors (radar, sonar, LIDAR, cameras)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least one of: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, machine learning
  • Experience in a senior perception or planning role for delivery of a robotic system

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems
  • Design and implement scalable sub-systems including sensor processing, perception, tracking, motion planning, health management, anomaly detection, simulation, and vehicle interfaces
  • Develop reusable software components across product lines
  • Utilize computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance perception and planning capabilities
  • Conduct testing and validation of perception and planning algorithms through simulation and real-world data analysis
