💼 About This Role

You'll own security end-to-end for Pylon's mortgage platform, protecting sensitive customer data like social security numbers and financial records. You'll draft and enforce security policies while collaborating with infra engineers to bake security into every system. This is a rare opportunity to be the sole security DRI at a fast-growing fintech backed by Peter Thiel.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own security posture end-to-end as the DRI
• Encrypt, access-control, and audit sensitive customer data
• Draft and enforce security best practices and incident response
• Partner with infra engineers to embed security into systems
• Build security culture through training and code reviews

📋 Requirements

• Experience owning security for a product handling sensitive data
• Deep knowledge of AWS IAM, networking, and security tooling
• Strong engineering background (e.g., TypeScript, PostgreSQL)

• Experience at a fintech or mortgage company
• Familiarity with Temporal.io or event-driven architectures
• History of building security culture in a startup
