💼 About This Role

You'll design, build, and test mechanical systems for autonomous construction robots that print layouts on job sites. Your hands-on work bridges digital design to physical construction directly in the field. You'll gain mentorship from engineers at the intersection of robotics and construction.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD
• Build and iterate on prototypes, fixtures, and test rigs
• Conduct experiments to evaluate performance and manufacturability
• Create engineering drawings and support design release
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on practical designs

📋 Requirements

• Pursuing or completed BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks)
• Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting)
• Experience with PDM environment (SolidWorks or other)
• Exposure to mechanical testing or experimental design
