๐ผ About This Role
You'll define active EO/IR system architectures and perform radiometric performance modeling for land, sea, air, and space applications. Your analyses will directly inform system-level architectural trades and prototype development. You'll validate models against real-world data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance systems.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Define system architectures via detailed trade studies and analyses
- Derive physics-based models of sensor system performance
- Take ownership of prototype sensor system development in lab
- Support laboratory and field-based experiments and demonstrations
- Engage with hardware, software, and mission teams to deliver systems
๐ Requirements
- Model development and validation in remote sensing domains
- Ability to decompose complex systems into functional parts with interfaces
- Experience in system design from concept through test and delivery
- Strong laboratory skills and familiarity with opto-electrical test equipment
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
โจ Nice to Have
- Knowledge of current and next-generation advanced sensing systems
- Active and passive sensing domain experience (e.g., LiDAR, EO/IR, Radar)
- Experience with laser systems and opto-mechanical scanning
๐ Benefits & Perks
