You'll define active EO/IR system architectures and perform radiometric performance modeling for land, sea, air, and space applications. Your analyses will directly inform system-level architectural trades and prototype development. You'll validate models against real-world data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance systems.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Define system architectures via detailed trade studies and analyses
  • Derive physics-based models of sensor system performance
  • Take ownership of prototype sensor system development in lab
  • Support laboratory and field-based experiments and demonstrations
  • Engage with hardware, software, and mission teams to deliver systems

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Model development and validation in remote sensing domains
  • Ability to decompose complex systems into functional parts with interfaces
  • Experience in system design from concept through test and delivery
  • Strong laboratory skills and familiarity with opto-electrical test equipment
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance

  • Knowledge of current and next-generation advanced sensing systems
  • Active and passive sensing domain experience (e.g., LiDAR, EO/IR, Radar)
  • Experience with laser systems and opto-mechanical scanning
