💼 About This Role

You'll join the Data Platform team at XP Inc., a leading Brazilian financial institution, to own the semantic layer unifying metrics and dimensions for BI, analytics, and AI Agents. You'll serve as the technical reference for architectural decisions and drive data governance and quality at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions for the data platform
• Design and develop the semantic layer with governed metrics and dimensions
• Establish standards for modeling, naming, versioning, and testing
• Design CI/CD pipelines for data with validation and automated testing
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and best practices

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with large-scale environments
• Expertise in Apache Spark, Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, SQL Warehouse, Unity Catalog)
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Synapse)
• Advanced dimensional modeling (star/snowflake, SCDs, aggregates)

✨ Nice to Have

• Microsoft DP-600 or Databricks Certified Data Engineer certification
• Experience with dbt (Core/Cloud) and MetricFlow
