💼 About This Role
You'll own the full federal sales cycle and build Kaizen's federal go-to-market strategy for modern, AI-native government software. You'll shape federal procurement approaches and open new agency relationships in a complex, highly regulated environment. This role offers high independence and impact at a well-funded startup reaching 40 million residents.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Own full federal sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Navigate federal procurement processes (GSA MAS, IDIQs, BPAs)
- Lead onsite discovery sessions and product demos with agencies
- Coordinate with lobbying firms and support appropriations strategy
📋 Requirements
- 4–7 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in federal sales
- Full-cycle sales experience with multi-stakeholder deal closure
- Proven ability to navigate federal procurement vehicles
- Comfortable demoing software independently, without SE support
✨ Nice to Have
- Existing network of relationships across federal agencies
- Experience with lobbying or government affairs coordination
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo
