💼 About This Role

You'll own the full federal sales cycle and build Kaizen's federal go-to-market strategy for modern, AI-native government software. You'll shape federal procurement approaches and open new agency relationships in a complex, highly regulated environment. This role offers high independence and impact at a well-funded startup reaching 40 million residents.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Own full federal sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Navigate federal procurement processes (GSA MAS, IDIQs, BPAs)
  • Lead onsite discovery sessions and product demos with agencies
  • Coordinate with lobbying firms and support appropriations strategy

📋 Requirements

  • 4–7 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in federal sales
  • Full-cycle sales experience with multi-stakeholder deal closure
  • Proven ability to navigate federal procurement vehicles
  • Comfortable demoing software independently, without SE support

✨ Nice to Have

  • Existing network of relationships across federal agencies
  • Experience with lobbying or government affairs coordination
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo
