Description

You will lead cloud financial management across the enterprise and client levels, driving cost efficiency, transparency, and FinOps best practices. Collaborate with engineering, finance, and client teams to optimize cloud spend and embed cost-aware decisions into architecture and planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• FinOps Practitioner / Professional certification
• 3+ years in cloud financial management, cloud engineering, or related roles
• Hands-on experience implementing FinOps practices and optimizing cloud costs
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Proficiency with cloud cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Databricks cost data)
• Experience with modern cloud architectures including containerization and serverless
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to develop effective reporting schemes and metrics for usage control
• Collaborative mindset across engineering, finance, and client teams

Responsibilities

• Create cloud cost optimization framework and governance mechanisms
• Own enterprise and client-level cloud spend, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Implement and scale FinOps best practices to improve cost transparency and accountability
• Engage with cloud vendors to leverage pricing programs, incentives, and optimization recommendations
• Proactively embed FinOps-aware architecture through shift-left cost considerations in design and planning
• Define cloud cost performance KPIs and track against agreed KPIs
• Analyze cloud usage, architecture, and cost drivers to identify optimization opportunities
• Develop and execute cost optimization strategies (e.g., cleanup, scheduling, rightsizing, reservations)
• Partner with client teams to quantify cloud cost versus business value and ROI
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and implementation teams on cloud financial management
• Produce regular reporting on cloud spend, savings opportunities, and financial performance
• Manage and leverage cloud cost management tools to monitor and control spend
• Educate teams on FinOps principles and promote cost-aware decision making
