Description
You will develop and validate guidance and control laws for autonomous drones, perform aerodynamic design and analysis, and use flight simulation and testing to ensure platform performance. Working in the GNC team, your work directly supports advanced military capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years professional experience with airborne platforms.
- 4+ years experience in aerodynamic design and analysis, flight simulation, and flight testing.
- Hands-on experience with CFD tools, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent simulation platforms.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, stability, and control.
Responsibilities
- Aerodynamic design and analysis of fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and hybrid VTOL platforms using CFD and low-order methods.
- Develop and maintain in-house aerodynamic analysis tools and assess configuration changes on performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-fidelity flight simulation models and validate against wind tunnel and flight test results.
- Plan and execute flight tests and wind tunnel tests to evaluate aircraft performance and identify system bugs.
- Prepare technical reports and briefings to communicate findings with stakeholders.
