Description

You will bridge the gap between Planet's platform capabilities and customer outcomes by identifying high-value market problems and working with Engineering to decompose them into scalable, reusable building blocks. You'll prioritize opportunities with significant market size to move Planet from selling raw data to selling measurable value in key verticals.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in Earth Observation or geospatial analytics
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience launching solution products (bundles of data, analytics, and services)
• Ability to translate complex vertical needs into engineering tasks and user outcomes
• Solid understanding of vertical market dynamics and assessing market size/viability

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery and feasibility studies to validate high-value use cases
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to decompose complex requirements into detailed specs and user stories
• Manage sprint planning and backlog grooming as primary Engineering liaison
• Define and deliver reusable building blocks within the Planet Platform
• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to package capabilities into ROI-focused narratives
