💼 About This Role

You'll join the Diagnostics team within Unity's LiveOps organization, building backend services that process data from millions of game clients to surface crash reports, telemetry, and dashboards. Your work will directly impact how creators understand their games' real-world performance. This role offers the chance to lead end-to-end design across the entire stack, from ingestion to analytics, in a small autonomous team where your senior judgment has exponential impact.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end design for ingestion, pipelines, ClickHouse storage, and dashboards.
• Write and maintain high-quality Go services handling massive scale with malicious input.
• Raise code review standards and define team norms for AI-assisted workflows.
• Collaborate with Data, IAP, Profiler, and DevX teams on production integrations.
• Mentor engineers and decompose ambiguous problems into concrete, high-value work items.

📋 Requirements

• Production experience with Go in high-throughput services.
• Senior-level judgment demonstrated by leading cross-functional designs and mentoring peers.
• Practical experience with agentic coding workflows (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor agent mode, or equivalent).
• Experience designing and querying NoSQL or OLAP/columnar stores (ClickHouse preferred).

• Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability/telemetry.
• Front-end experience with TypeScript and dashboard surfaces.
• Experience with Kotlin or C# in production.
• Background in the gaming industry and game development workflows.
