Description

You will support students on their missions by providing mentorship, curating content, and connecting them with real-world opportunities in healthcare. You will contribute to designing learning modules and experiential programs that address grand challenges in healthcare.

Requirements

• Master's degree in public health, global health, or related area with focus on healthcare systems
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the field
• At least 2 years of experience in education at tertiary or post-tertiary levels
• Proficiency in educational technologies and virtual learning platforms
• Excellent English communication skills
• Superior problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent coaching and project management skills
• African-centred knowledge and experience
• Strong regional and international network with NGOs, startup incubators, accelerators, etc.
• Based in East Africa or willingness to relocate

Responsibilities

• Provide regular and on-demand mission support and mentorship to students through synchronous and asynchronous channels
• Provide subject matter expertise on design and development of learning modules associated with the 14 Grand Challenges and Opportunities (GCGOs)
• Provide subject matter expertise on design and delivery of immersive and experiential learning programs associated with the GCGOs
• Curate indicative content, learning activities, and professional experiences drawing upon specialized knowledge in Healthcare
• Connect students with real-world learning opportunities and world-leading experts
• Lead initial facilitation of modules associated with areas of specialization and core curriculum elements
• Contribute to creation and development of research initiatives in line with area of expertise
• Contribute to annual programme review to ensure content is up-to-date and relevant
• Identify and implement modifications to learning materials and assessments to meet quality assurance requirements
• Engage in institutional service through active participation in academic committees
• Perform any other reasonable duties as allocated
