You'll scale ML-based metrics and evaluation datasets for autonomous driving systems at Waymo. Your core impact will be to improve safety validation through simulation. You'll train large offline models and democratize ML tooling across the organization.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop ML metrics and evaluation datasets for simulation.
• Build and train large offboard models for reference generation.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-team evaluation strategy.
• Align teams on cohesive evaluation goals and priorities.

📋 Requirements

• PhD in CS, ML, AI, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on ML development and deployment.
• Expertise in deep learning, sequence modeling, and generative models.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks like JAX or TensorFlow.

✨ Nice to Have

• 10+ years ML research and application experience.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles or simulation.
• Understanding of RL fine-tuning techniques.
