Description

In this role, you will own complex software features end-to-end for Roku's streaming devices and TVs, designing and optimizing multimedia system-level solutions. You'll collaborate with ODMs and chipset vendors to ensure performant, secure, and scalable platforms that delight millions of users.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of multimedia system design
• Experience with video/audio pipelines and codecs
• Proficiency in system-level software and hardware-software partitioning
• Knowledge of secure boot, DRM, and content protection
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development for complex features or subsystems
• Translate product goals into designs, tasks, and implementation plans
• Design and maintain core platform software with focus on code quality and robustness
• Implement and optimize video/audio pipelines, codecs, and rendering paths
• Lead SoC evaluation and enable candidate chipsets
