Description

As an Operations Engineer on the Starlink Satellite Production team, you will drive improvement projects to enhance safety, reliability, and process capability. You'll serve as a vital link between development, supply chain, and production teams, designing new processes and infrastructure to support current and future satellite generations. Your work will directly contribute to building a revolutionary low-latency broadband internet constellation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Experience with CAD, SQL, business intelligence tools (Power BI, Grafana), or analysis tools (Python/R, Arena, Minitab)
• Experience as an industrial, operations, quality, process, or manufacturing engineer in manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and visualization
• Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning (including MRP/ERP systems)

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, and execute capital equipment and infrastructure upgrades to meet production demand
• Manage projects to tight timelines, communicating effectively with stakeholders
• Drive improvements to increase throughput, reduce build hours and quality issues, eliminate waste
• Anticipate challenges in satellite manufacturing and procurement value stream, determine root cause, develop solutions
• Develop and continuously improve key process indicators and operations metrics
