Description

As a thermal hardware fabricator on the Starship team, you will build and integrate subassemblies that protect the vehicle during re-entry. You'll work with engineers and technicians to fabricate and assemble heatshield components using precision TIG welding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years TIG welding experience in manufacturing or accredited program graduate within last 2 years
• 10+ years TIG welding experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum, titanium preferred
• Proficient in tube cutting, grinding, fabrication; class A welds
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Weld GTAW class A welds; cut, trim, fit and fabricate metal components
• Analyze engineering drawings to plan welding operations
• Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes
• Weld assembly and fabrication of small to large structures
• Modify, repair, assemble, and install launch vehicles
