💼 About This Role

You'll join Jane Street's London office as a Cybersecurity Detection and Response Analyst, protecting employees, data, and infrastructure. You'll develop tools and systems for detection, incident response, and threat hunting. This role combines engineering and security operations in a collaborative environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Respond to security incidents and remediate threats
• Develop detection tools and automate SOC workflows
• Hunt for threats and tune detection to reduce noise
• Act as cybersecurity ambassador and promote best practices

📋 Requirements

• Degree in computer science or related field
• Strong programming skills (demonstrate high potential)
• Experience with version control (Git) and code management
• Knowledge of threat modeling and security tradeoffs

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building SOAR or email scanning systems
• Security engineering or detection engineering background
• Familiarity with security awareness training
