Description

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Bethesda Health Group, you will implement treatment plans to help patients achieve their best outcomes, working primarily with elderly and rehabilitation populations. You'll collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare team members, provide caretaker training, and ensure smooth transitions from skilled services to home or nursing home care.

Requirements

• Associate degree from accredited COTA curriculum
• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in state of work
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Strong desire to work with elderly and rehabilitation populations
• Physical ability to transfer patients, move equipment, and perform fine motor tasks

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment programs to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Formulate priorities for patient treatment based on initial evaluation
• Assess treatment effectiveness and modify interventions as needed
• Provide caretaker training for patient discharge needs
• Complete documentation within designated timeframe
