Description

As Machine Shop Operations Manager at Neuralink, you will lead day-to-day production of CNC machining and rapid prototyping for brain-computer interfaces and surgical tools across two facilities. You will blend operational oversight with manufacturing engineering to ensure quality, efficiency, and production readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field
• Minimum 7+ years in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a management or senior supervisory role
• Proven experience in manufacturing/industrialization/operations engineering in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and process documentation
• Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, EDM) with ability to engage technically

Responsibilities

• Lead daily CNC machining operations across two facilities, including staffing, work assignments, and production prioritization
• Supervise CNC programmers, setup technicians, and operators to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality execution
• Maintain technical oversight of machining processes (tooling, setups, troubleshooting) to ensure quality and efficiency
• Drive shop performance through metrics-based monitoring of safety, quality, yield, and operational efficiency
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive production readiness, process development, and continuous improvement
