Description
As a Senior Data Engineer on the Financial Crimes Surveillance team, you will architect and maintain data pipelines that process over 1 billion order events daily to detect fraud and money laundering. You'll collaborate with quantitative engineers to build scalable solutions ensuring financial security and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering focusing on data pipeline development (Python or Java)
- 3+ years of production Python experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Pandas or Polars
- 1-3 years of hands-on Linux systems experience
- Deep understanding of databases and SQL optimization
Responsibilities
- Design and automate robust data pipelines for real-time and batch processing
- Develop data quality frameworks to proactively identify issues
- Collaborate with quantitative engineers to translate business requirements into data solutions
