Description

You will support the payroll accounting function during a critical period, working on key reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting deliverables while also supporting Canadian payroll operations. This is a remote position with a high-impact team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting, with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
• Solid understanding of US federal and state payroll compliance; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
• Clear communicator who can respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA or CPP designation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, researching and resolving variances within 30 days
• Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
• Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records, identifying and resolving discrepancies
