Description

You will design, build, and optimize controls and automation systems for safe handling of hazardous materials in solar cell fabrication, ensuring reliable control code and safe instrumentation for processes like vacuum deposition and etching while minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or chemical discipline
• 5+ years experience with fluids/systems manufacturing, controls/automation, or programming
• Hazardous process expertise in aerospace, oil/gas, or chemical industry with high pressure or hazardous systems
• Experience with electrical/industrial controls (e.g., VFDs, safety circuits, EPLAN) or industrial software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, SCADA, robotics)
• Ability to engineer creative solutions while adhering to ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automation systems including PLC programming and SCADA development for gas farm operations and wastewater treatment processes
• Develop PLC control logic, PID loops, and interlocks for centralized control of distributed subsystems with real-time monitoring
• Select, calibrate, and integrate field instrumentation in hazardous environments ensuring compliance with SIL, ATEX, and EPA/NPDES
• Lead commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and troubleshooting of control systems with root-cause analysis to minimize downtime
• Design electrical systems compliant to NEC, NFPA, UL508A regulations
