As Legal Counsel at Akuna Capital, you will lead the North American legal function, negotiating contracts, advising on regulatory developments, and supporting venture investments. You'll collaborate closely with senior management and business teams to drive strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Experienced legal counsel with expertise in commercial contracting
• Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance
• Ability to advise senior leadership on legal risks
• Experience with venture investments and corporate transactions
• Strong understanding of financial services or trading industry

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and oversight of trading, vendor, and market-facing agreements
• Oversee corporate governance documents, intercompany agreements, and shareholder matters
• Advise senior leadership on legal risks for new markets, products, and technologies
• Monitor and interpret U.S. and international regulatory developments
• Support venture investments and corporate transactions
