💼 About This Role

You'll drive the development of chemical propulsion systems for Apex's satellite buses, from clean-sheet architecture through integration and test. You'll be the first chemical propulsion engineer building capabilities from the ground up. This role offers direct impact on spacecraft design in a fast-growing startup with $200M funding.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and test chemical propulsion systems
• Design propulsion system architecture and maintain TPMs
• Develop qualification and acceptance test plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for subsystem integration

📋 Requirements

• U.S. Person status required for export control access
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, propulsion, or aerospace engineering
• 6+ years of propulsion design and test experience
• Experience with mono and bi-propellant chemical propulsion systems

✨ Nice to Have

• Master's or Ph.D in relevant engineering discipline
• Experience with hot-fire test campaigns
• Experience in chemical propulsion operations in space
