Description

As a Materials R&D Technician at SpaceX, you will support materials and process development for Starlink user terminals, gateways, printed circuit boards, and solar products. You'll maintain lab operations, operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment, and prepare reports on test data, all while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of materials testing experience in a lab environment
• Ability to work off-shifts, overtime, and weekends
• Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR requirement)

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and efficient lab operations, including inventory control and cleanliness
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate thermoanalytical, microscopy, RF, and optical spectroscopy equipment
• Prepare reports and provide interpretations of materials test data
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures
• Manage lab backlog and prioritize test requests
