Description
You will oversee Body Quality performance throughout vehicle assembly, analyze quality trends, lead problem-solving activities, and support dimensional quality efforts. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design-for-quality and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 5+ years in automotive assembly quality or manufacturing quality engineering
- Experience with BIW, Paint, Trim, Final Assembly quality assurance
- Deep knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R
- Proficient in quality tools: 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA
Responsibilities
- Oversee Body Quality performance throughout vehicle assembly
- Analyze product quality trends and drive corrective actions using 8D/DMAIC
- Develop layered quality control plans and defect detection systems
- Lead problem-solving during prototype builds, pre-production, and ramp-up
- Interface with Product, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering for design-for-quality
