💼 About This Role

You'll lead end-to-end event readiness for KICK's largest live streams, serving as the video subject matter expert across acquisition, pipeline, and delivery. This role combines broadcast operations with hands-on AWS and FFmpeg engineering to build and maintain the platform's streaming infrastructure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end event readiness including testing and validation of live streaming workflows
• Serve as SME for video acquisition protocols (SRT, RTMP, satellite)
• Design and maintain dashboards for video pipeline performance monitoring
• Debug and resolve complex playback issues across CTV, mobile, and web

📋 Requirements

• Hands-on development experience building tools for video streaming with FFmpeg
• Deep expertise in AWS video services
• Strong command of SRT and RTMP transport protocols
• Proven ability to debug playback issues across CTV, mobile, and web

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with professional playout systems (Grass Valley AAMP) and SDI/NDI transport
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Experience with video advertising standards (VAST, OpenRTB)
