Description

You will provide onsite support and repair services for analytical laboratory instruments at customer sites across Japan and the APAC region. Your role includes troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining instruments, while proactively communicating with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Technology or equivalent
• Multi-year experience with service and repair of analytical laboratory instruments
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent customer facing communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and able to collaborate within cross-functional teams
• Excellent time management and scheduling skills
• Fluent Japanese and English language skills
• Ability to travel at least 65% within APAC region

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair instruments and equipment to the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) level
• Assemble, disassemble, and perform repair work on analytical laboratory instruments
• Support pre-staging of instruments and upgrade release activities
• Monitor personal parts stock and test equipment inventory
• Conduct advanced service tasks and instrument configurations
• Contribute to the Service Knowledge Base
• Provide field-based on-the-job training for other Field Service Engineers
