Description

You will provide professional-level fire protection engineering services, including life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering. You'll manage projects involving fire and egress modeling using tools like FDS, Pathfinder, and Contam, and contribute to business development.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in code consulting, fire suppression/alarm system design, and performance-based strategies
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies
• Can work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection engineering services: life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design, performance-based design
• Develop and review plans, specifications, and inspection reports
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection and alarm system reviews, smoke control reviews, sprinkler and water supply reviews
• Manage projects involving fire and egress modeling (FDS, Pathfinder, Contam) and review model inputs for quality control
• Prepare and present technical reports and participate in business development
