💼 About This Role

You'll define the future architecture of money movement systems at Plaid, ensuring reliability and scalability for millions of users. You'll execute an ambitious product roadmap while partnering with cross-functional teams to build a multi-rail payment platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead technical direction of transfer onboarding, billing, and payment processing systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and legal teams to meet business needs.
• Identify system quality opportunities and drive reliability improvements.
• Write and review code, lead major initiatives, and mentor engineers.

📋 Requirements

• 3-5 years working on payments, billing, or financial infrastructure systems.
• Proven track record building payment processing systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in distributed system design and reliability engineering.
• Experience setting engineering best practices like CI/CD and on-call.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with modern payment rails (ACH, real-time bank payments, open banking).
• Familiarity with multi-rail payments architectures.
