Description

You will provide direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable care standards, and supervise non-licensed personnel in a recovery-focused behavioral health crisis stabilization unit.

Requirements

• Current California LVN or LPT licensure
• Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
• Ability to supervise and work cooperatively
• Current CPR and first aid certifications
• Previous mental health nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to clients per physicians’ orders and care standards
• Supervise non-licensed personnel in direct client care and unit operation
• Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice
• Assess and monitor client physical and mental health status
• Document client care and observations accurately
