💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team of computational biologists in reimagining drug discovery for oncology at Recursion. You'll integrate phenomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics to nominate novel targets and define precision oncology strategies. This role offers a unique player-coach opportunity to balance hands-on data analysis with team mentorship.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and computational biologists
• Design and execute analyses for target nomination and validation
• Develop biomarker strategies and patient-stratification hypotheses
• Collaborate cross-functionally with biologists, chemists, and clinical leads

📋 Requirements

• PhD in quantitative field + 5+ years biotech/pharma or MS + 7+ years
• People management experience in scientific/technical environment
• Oncology domain expertise with biomarker discovery and patient stratification
• Advanced Python or R for high-dimensional biological data analysis

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with public datasets like TCGA, CCLE, DepMap, or RWD
• Experience designing high-throughput screens or CRISPR perturbations
• Exposure to IND-enabling studies or clinical trial biomarker analysis
